Amicus

As an affiliate member of the Youth Federation, we would like to introduce you to a new service that will ensure you are able to access funding at both a national and local level. As an organisation that is in the forefront of youth service delivery and development, we are now able to provide our affiliate members access to funding streams that are not normally available to smaller deliverers of youth provision.

This will be a free service that will require you to register all the skills and attributes that your group staff can offer. As youth service front line workers, there is a wealth of skills that you use on a day-to-day basis. The ‘Amicus’ Funding Service will allow you to access extra funding to deliver work on a local level, but also work with staff from other youth groups within your area.

The Youth Federation has a very successful fundraiser that is constantly working to secure funding for the organisation. We are now at the stage where we can offer this service to our affiliates and secure funding for front line delivery projects within your context.

When applying for funding we want to be able to structure bids that will incorporate the work you are already carrying out. All funding gained will be passed directly to you with an administrative fee deducted. As you are aware, all bids have to have a monitoring and evaluation element included in them. As part of the administrative fee, the Youth Federation will complete this work on behalf of our affiliates. We want this to be a totally transparent partnership and at the end of the financial year, any funds that are available from the administrative fees charged will be refunded to the contributing organisations as a ‘dividend’.

To join the ‘Amicus Funding Service’, affiliated groups must register through the Affiliates portal of the Youth Federation site. This online registration will require you to enter all the skills and attributes that your organisation staff offers the young people you serve. As funding streams emerge, you will then be contacted to see if you wish to be included in the delivery bid, based upon the skills and attributes you offer. If successful, the funding will be passed to you as it becomes available.
